Arand Lenjan Steel Inaugurated With the Launch of Its Pre-Painted Sheet Production Line

In the first week of October, after years of planning, construction, equipping and preparation, Arand Lenjan Steel officially began operations. On September 29, 2026, the inauguration ceremony of the Arand Steel pre-painted sheet production line was held in the presence of hundreds of industry players, executives and leading figures from the iron and steel industry, along with government officials, members of parliament and banking executives, and guests got to know the company, its production line and its capabilities up close. Speeches by executives and guests, the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, a ribbon-cutting and a tour of the production line were the main parts of the ceremony.

Arand Lenjan Steel Project Profile

Arand Lenjan Steel is built on a 10-hectare site and has started operations with an annual production capacity of 150,000 tonnes of steel sheet. The project began in 2022 with investment from Zarrin Foolad Shahriari Holding and came into operation in 2026. Total investment in launching Arand is about 6 trillion tomans, and the company has the potential to employ nearly 500 people. With the start of product sales, information on technical specifications, terms of sale and the price of Arand Lenjan Steel pre-painted sheet is also provided to customers through the company’s official channels.

Opening of the Ceremony and Invitation of Speakers

The ceremony opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The host then welcomed the guests and invited the speakers to the stage.

Speech by the Project Investor

Mr. Habibollah Shahriari, CEO of Zarrin Foolad Shahriari Holding and investor in the Arand Lenjan Steel project, spoke about production capacity, job creation and the company’s role in preventing foreign-currency outflow and creating export capacity. In part of his speech he said:

“With annual production of one hundred and fifty thousand tonnes of pre-painted sheet, Arand Steel can create direct and indirect employment for more than a thousand people, and in addition to preventing currency outflow, its surplus annual production can also bring good foreign-currency earnings to our beloved country.”

Speech by the Chairman of the Board of Arak Machine Manufacturing

Dr. Ebrahimi, representing the country’s industrial manufacturing sector and Arak Machine Manufacturing, spoke about the difficult conditions industry faces these days and the pressures on industrialists, while describing the future of industry as brighter than today. Referring to Lenjan’s position, he described the region as one of the country’s main steel hubs and expressed hope that Arand Steel will continue on its path to success.

Another part of his speech was devoted to Arand Steel’s environmental initiatives. Referring to what he had seen first-hand at the plant, Dr. Ebrahimi praised the efforts made to protect the environment and commended the choices and decisions made across the industrial complex. He also stressed that Arand Lenjan Steel should be a window to export markets and dedicate part of its capacity to markets outside the country.

Speech by the Commercial Director of Zarrin Foolad Shahriari Holding

Mr. Ehsan Shahriari, welcoming the guests, industry players and long-standing customers of Zarrin Foolad Shahriari Holding, thanked customers and partners for their many years of support and trust. He also referred to the round-the-clock efforts of the staff of Zarrin Foolad Shahriari and Arand Lenjan Steel over the past years and their perseverance in difficult conditions, and devoted part of his speech to the features of the production line and the company’s environmental measures and wastewater treatment plant.

In part of his speech he stressed: “I ask you to trust us and our new product, Arand Lenjan Steel pre-painted sheet, as you always have. This trust is more valuable to us than any capital.”

Unveiling of the Commemorative Plaque

Later in the ceremony, Habibollah Shahriari, CEO of Zarrin Foolad Shahriari Holding, together with his sons – Ehsan Shahriari, the holding’s Commercial Director; Mohsen Shahriari, Technical Director; and Peyman Shahriari, IT Director – joined a group of executives and officials on stage to unveil the commemorative plaque of the event.

Ribbon-Cutting and Start of the Production Line

After the plaque was unveiled, the company’s executives and guests went to the production line for the ribbon-cutting. A piece of the pre-painted sheet produced was placed at the start of the line so that attendees could sign it and write messages to mark the day. As the ribbon was cut, the Arand Lenjan Steel production line started running and the company officially entered production. Guests then toured the various sections of the line and saw the production process and the plant’s capabilities up close.
